My First EVER Show!

So, I just realized that i am going to do my first ever show on June 7th. It is just a little fun open show, but I am really excited. Usually it is mostly kids and a few adults, but it should be fun anyway.

Unless some real competitors show up, Scarlet and I will probably take sweep the WP classes. I swear, she could it with a sack of potatoes tied to her back. I'll try to get a video of her jog on here somewhere. Its purty.

I just need to work on getting her head leveled out in her upward transition from jog to lope.

We are going to enter a few English classes too. Thats where its going to get tricky. I think we are going to do the hack/ 18" and a few others. IDK. I haven't decided. She definitely need a better walk, she gets a bit lazy sometimes, and her trot gets a bit spotty, she either wants to drop into the jog or pick up into a canter. She is getting better with practice, but if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, I am open and listening!

I'll update with training photos and eventually with show photos.

YEA!!! so excited!

As long as you come home with a smile on your face and no falls then it will be a success. Good luck.

I agree, you decide who the winner of the show - not the judge. Good luck!

And for english, have you tried asking for the bigger trot by keeping steady leg but also posting in a steady manner? So the horse can't fall into the jog or canter...just a thought
