~My Barrel Racing Dream~

I have famliy up in colorado, they own a horse ranch with about 20 or so more horse (horse heaven to me LOL). Well I went up there last here to rodeo, the barrel racer, rope, old the games. Well I rode a horse named Glory, a 17yr old bay mare. Well I Only rode in one rodeo cause i was scared of the crowd. Well The one time, it felt great, i wasn't scared any more. well This yr i thought i would stay down here cause i though was going to rodeo with Tamber! well My dad wont take me any where, he wont get a cheap trailer, he wont even let me DRIVE!!!!. I think Next yr i come back up there for a month or two so i can ride glory again, and Barrel race!. She was also helping me learn to post at the trot and rid better too. It the only way I'm going to get to do any thing. I really think my dad don't wont me to make my dream come true, well i got news for him, it's going to happen and he not going to stand in my way!!!!!!!

~would this be a good idea?
~I'm being to immature about making my dream come true?
~ what do you guys think?

Maybe you and your dad could compromise. Maybe you could spend summers with your Colorado family. Is the Colorado family willing to come and get you and Tamber?

From what you've told us about your father, there is no way in h*** I would leave Tamber with him, or any other animal for that matter...

If you do go, can't you ask your neighbors to keep her for a while or something? I don't think leaving her with him is a great idea.

My mares haven't had any grass (besides like five minutes of handgrazing some days) this summer, they get unlimited hay and grain and they're fine. You'd just need to feed GOOD quality hay.

Just feed her free choice grass hay (or a timothy alfalfa mix works wonders in underwight horses)

And a bit of grain and she should be good

Whenever someone suggested YOU selling her, you said he wouldn't let you, so why would he sell her?
