Mutt owners? x]

Would love to see them!

I took some quick photos of my four year old Border Collie x Black GSD named Gracie yesterday. She's the best dog I've ever had, I love her to pieces. Dogs have a funny way of making your day better no matter what, don't they? They have the right attitude for life, I say. Here are a few:

If this photo doesn't instantly melt your heart then you're not even human.

Thinking of drawing this one. Don't like the light though, her eyes are shadowed.

Not so flattering XD After doing a nose-dive after the ball.

This is my good side.

[waits impatiently]

I know what you're doing. Stop it. Throw the ball.

Some obligatory Dino photos. I chose the two where he has the least stupid look on his face.
I dunno how you can cross a Kelpie and a Labrador and get a dull crayon like him xD
I love him though, in all his goofyness.

And this one is just cute XD

I love the running with ball pic!!Looks so sweet.

My mutt Ginger passed last year after a long cancer battle. She was a sweetie and I still miss her

Here she was after a swim with my corgi

In the snow

Me torturing her

My current mutts are not technically mutts I am always tempted to keep the cute mixes we foster but I have no room! I have a soft spot for beagle mixes and old dogs now!

Here's my Mutts.

This is Boba Fett. He's a 1/2 lab 1/4 bluetick and 1/4 rott. 11 years old. He was born on our farm and has been my faithful friend his whole life.

Niecie is 1/2 lab 1/2 terrier. She's some where between 4 and 5. We've had her for about 3 years. She's living with us till my sister in law can take her back.

Both my dogs were pound puppies. I took my boys with me and they helped me pick them out. Of course that was four years ago and they aren't puppies anymore...just family.

Lucky...the little hyper hunting dog. She is the playmate and total love puppy. I think she must have some beagle in her because she doesn't bark like a normal dog...LOL She sounds like she is trying to talk to you. Ow ow wo bow ow ow ow

Duke is my rottie mix. She came in with a female and a box full of puppies and she was the only one that looked like the female. She is a gaurd dog...always on the porch or with my family when we are out in the yard. I don't worry about strays or strangers. If Lucky and Duke hadn't grown up together I am not sure Duke would even let her sister hang around.

My cocker spaniel Riley... We have had him a few year since he was a wee pup, and he is now our 'show' dog. Was Supreme Champion of Show at his last outting which is ******** halarious - lucky he is pretty cos he sure is dumb!
As a little puppy ...

Chewing things he shouldn't - and getting away with it!

Due for a haircut

Oh my gosh duckeh your dogs are the absolute cutest! I have a real soft spot for old dogs. Elderly BCs and BC mixes, even more so! And Meiko is a handsome boy.

I love everyone else's dogs too Mutts are just truly awesome x] I don't know if I'll ever own a purebred ;p It wouldn't feel right going and buying a puppy from a breeder when there are so many dogs in shelters that need a home. Granted, we got Gracie from a shelter as a puppy but I think that was worth it because she's the best dog I've ever had, I think that is partly because of her wonderful personality and partly because I got to raise her into the dog I wanted her to be =]

I think if people feel like they're missing something in their lives, they should go adopt a mutt xD They can fill that hole so easily. My late dog, Thunder, who died at 15 years old after a long and healthy life with us had 24 hours left before she was to be put to sleep. And she was just such a gentle soul. I'm so glad she was with us

Sorry for the soppy post but I love them dearly XD <3

Thanks Lyre! I really love border collies, but have seen them in the wrong hands as well.. they're definitely a dog that needs a job. My old girl, bless her, loves camping... but sleeps for days after cause it just poops her right out lmao. Meiko is still growing away.. out growing collars left and right, which is why in some photo's he doesn't have one. He's an old soul.. just a well mannered little guy (well, now at 7 months he's probably pushing 60 pounds). Easy to train, good with other dogs and cats, and especially the horses.

I definitely recommend mixed breed dogs.. especially if you can adopt. Puppies are adorable, obviously, and find homes pretty quick while the older dogs sit around bcause they aren't "smooshy cute!" lol. Older dogs definitely appreciate you saving them, and it shows in their eyes every day... Every dog loves you to pieces, but when you save them from that situation, there's an extra little sparkle lol

I too, love my mutt. Wolf is a coming 8 year old Norwegian Elkhound/GSD mix--we think. He is way too small to be husky or malamute and GSD, and has the curly tail. I adopted him from the local humane society when he was 2.5, early 2005.

Can't see the tail in any of them I guess. He's a goob, and ball OBSESSED. The first time he met the horses he was great--awesome, fun dog. Love him to pieces, he's gotten me through a lot.
