We have 5 horses, 1 donkey, 2 minis and have 2 other horses currently at our place. We have 10 acres, 2-1 1/2 acres pastures, 4 stall barn, 4 stall mare motel. We have extra land out behind the house that currently is growing cactus.

We have a little over 2 1/2 acres and there are 5 horses on the property. Our land is on a hillside so it's not all flat. We have 5 good size outdoor stalls and a 50' round pen.

I have a friend who has 7 horses on an acre and a half - but it's all flat and there's no extra room.

We rent pasture for my horses. The acreage they're on is 9? acres? I'd have to ask again. But there's a house and a meat shop as well that take away some of the land. But I think they have more than 5 acres to themselves. Currently I have 4 horses, but I've had 6 at one point.

I have my QH and two mini's in a medium paddock, maybe 150 feet long by 50 or so wide. Soon they will be in a pasture of about 3 or 4 aces and I will have one more horse plus a cow at some point.

I have one horse on 1/2 acre, very little stubby grass so he gets 20# of hay per day & some alfalfa pellets mixed in with his feed.

I have three horses. Approximately 4 acres broke up into 2 pastures and a dry lot. I do have to suppliment feed during the hottest part of summer when the grass doesn't grow.

I live in the North, so they are also hay fed all winter.

I have two horses ( and had my mares filly) on 2.5 acres.

The grass just isn't enough so they get hay all year.

    3acres for 3 horses(now unfortunately 2).

And they need extra feed during winter.

Ideally I'd like 5 acres per horse.

I guess it all depends on the quality of grazing.
