mp3 players/ ipods. Which one?

I now have a new computer and can get an mp3 player or ipod.

what do you recommend?

Ill just be listening to music, no pictures or videos or anything.
But I want room for a lot of music.

And on the cheaper end

Personally I like Ipods. I had two other mp3 players and they were ok.. but the menu system on the ipod alone is worth the extra bit of money IMO. On one of them especially I hated that could never figure out how to find the song I wanted. On the plus side you'll get movie and pictures too.

I wish I would have waited like.. 2 weeks to buy my ipod because I didn't know new nanos were coming out, and they have video.. AND they were cheaper for the same amount of memory that I got.. O well, I like it anyway!

How many songs do you want? 4G will hold about 1000 songs which costs around $150.

I'd go with an ipod. SO much easier to use IMO and they hold up really well. I think the larger ones don't have hard drives anymore? Just like the nanos so there are no moving parts to get broken when it's inevitably dropped Plus a lot of the ipods with more storage space are a lot cheaper now since they're always coming out with new ones.

ipod, bc you only have to pay for the music, not a monthly subscription too, plus they come in pretty colours

I'm going to be different..... LOL

I would go with an MP3 player.

I have an Ipod and I have huge problems with the Ipod store. I have purchased songs and then when it was time for them to download, they won't. The troubleshooters say it has something to do with my antivirus or firewalls, but thats all they will say ... not much help! I googled the error code and came up with site after site of really angry people with the same problem. So ... I have about 20 songs that I paid for that are in perpetual download status!

My husband and son have MP3 players and we have a subscription to Napster. It's really convenient.

Good luck.

I have the sandisk mp3 player and I love it. I have something like 48 hours worth of music on it. It does allow for photos and voice recording...something I just don't use at all. I got it for my birthday a year ago. It was around $80 then, not sure how much it is now.

My son has a nice ipod we got him for xmas. You know, he doesn't use it at all. And I use my mp3 all the time...daily in fact. I can't say enough good about it. I buy music cards at best buy...and just buy what music I want online at best buy's music store. No monthly subscription or anything like that. They offer a monthly subscription but I've never found a reason to need that.

And my mp3 player is bright pink, lol, with bright pink earbuds!

If you want to go with an ipod check your local craigslist. You can usually get some great deals on barely used devices (check that it runs before hand of course). And no shipping fees like there is with ebay.
