I'm curious too, as I just ordered my first pair of Rimfrosts.
I wanted the Rough Riders but couldn't find my size

Rimfrosts were a close second and in my size so I got those.

either for me, have worn both with no issues. i DO like their winter paddies tho as it can get deep with winddrifts and snow in general around here and maneuvering thru it with full water buckets can be an adventure in any taller boot : ).

i think the Mountain Horse line itself is impressive enough with their winter products so i think that whichever fits you most comfortably, and works for the job required, you will be satisfied, JB. i have horrid little feet to fit and MH has come thru every time, with comfort, warmth AND durability : )

Can't try them on Have to order

I've never worn any MH footwear, just Ariat and Dankso, so have no idea of the fit. I'm liking the price of these MH paddocks over any Ariat winter paddock

I honestly think you will be happy with either -- so I would order whichever you can get the better deal on. My Rimfrost paddock boots are 6+ years old and still look brand new.

Oh great, thanks! I don't know how I missed that thread!

The sole thickness is interesting - I was trying to figure out what the reals differences were between these. Awesome, thanks!

And thanks to R&B in an indirect way

Did you check their website to see if there are any dealers in your area?

I was quite shocked to see how many of my local feed and tack stores carried them - usually I don't ever look at boots when I'm in any of them and most of the time I have my feed delivered LOL.
Almost all within 25 miles and one just five minutes from me.

I do plan on still trying to find a pair of those Rough Riders in my size but would love to see them in person first.
I'm going to call around and check who has them.
