More bad news

So, as most of you know, we sold Roxy. Well the lady put a deposit down right after labor day, after Roxy passed her vet check. Well, she canceled the first transportation plans, saying that no one would be there to recieve her. She was scheduled to go tomorrow. Well, last week, my Barn Owner called and said that Roxy looked like she had a locked stifle, and it was catching about every 3rd step. Well, it got better and one of the vets came out and said it was definatley stifle related (but I really don't know if I trust him, for many personal reasons and problems with other horses). Today, OUR vet came, and say no way, that it was lost muscle tone from not being worked. Well, the lady said that she may need to give her back. EVERYTHING IS SWITCHED OVER! Reg. Papers, Brand Inspection, my BO has a signed boarding contract from her!

Is it right to say No Way Jose, I will give you what I paid for her originally if I am to take her back? Like $2500 opposed to $10000? Or like nothing?

Yeah, delima.

Well she told my mom that we will have to talk about giving her back. So I am not sure if for sure she doesn't want her. But yeah the whole deal is through, legally she is hers.

Was the $2500 her deposit... I'm a little lost (sorry)... I would tell the woman I will take her back, and KEEP the deposit..whatever that may be. Plus any fees for the retransferring of papers.

No, I originally paid $2500, almost 2 years ago. My mom said that that was all she was willing to pay her back. Her deposit was only $1000. I really cannot afford to pay her back $10000, or even $9000, which would be keeping the deposit.
