Month to Month Photos Question

I was wondering if anyone has track their mares pregancy by taking a photo of her and like measuring her tummy to see how big she gets every month until the foal was born?? I tryed googling and looking on here but couldnt find anything. i think it be kinda a kewl thing to do. was wondering if anyone had done this?

I don't have a pregnant mare, but if I did, I would. I love keeping track of things with photos so I can view progress. I am doing that with Jester and our working on muscling him up.

The problem is that every mare will be different. Especially if it is a maiden mare! LOL There is no way to be sure about a mare until it actually happens. LOL Years ago I kept much better track and taped and weighed my mares every month. I never have time for that now. Getting home from work at 2am on Sunday and having to be back at 8am and work til almost 6pm... leaves no time for mares.

I have a couple of mares that always foal early, I have another mare that always goes 12 months, and then I have others that do what ever the heck they want... early, late, on time... LOL

You're in luck! I have been taking pictures of Penny throughtout her pregnancy and I plan on creating an "Expectant Mare Timeline" which I will post after she has her baby. I hope that others will be able to look at it as reference since there are very such few pictures online. If you are impatient, however, you can look at my journal since I have posted all the pictures I will be using for the timeline up there. Just start at August 8th, 2006 since that was the day that she concieved. Not every entry has her pictures, but a fair amount do.

Has she foaled yet? or when is she due? i would love to see it when its done.
