It took the police several months to arrest someone that lived along the route that Holly took. He was a lover of child p0rn and poor Holly was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It was so sad.
I remember that. She lived literally a 2 minute walk from my house and we were scared silly.

The horrible thing is that they found her body hacked up and floating in the lake, without the legs.

It was aweful.

Miss.B- Slap him silly and ground him for a couple of lifetimes.

Oh what a horrible horrible story!

We had a good long talk when he got in. These boys I have never met, well lets just say that I will be getting to know them VERY well. Next time he wants to visit anyone, I will be driving him, sticking my head in the door and meeting a parent. No parent home, no visit. And the next time he wants to visit those particular boys, they are coming to OUR house.

So had he actually left a message or not?

I know personally, I left my mom a message once, it somehow disappeared between the time I left it and the time she got home. 6 years later and we still haven't found it. She didn't have so hard of a time finding me though as I was with one of my 'usual' friends. Did give her a few moments of panic though.

We leave each other messages on the answering machine, that way I can call and retrieve them if/when I am out. No there was no message. Of course he swears up and down that he left one. It didn't magically disappear. He forgot.

Every day after school I go for a walk around the neighborhood with a small group of my friends, or jjust my best friend. She lives around the corner from me, so we are always out walking around. Sometimes we'll head over to the other side of town and hang out with two boys that go to our school. My mom knows all this, but I'm still required to call her everyday before I leave and tell her where I'm going. Well, last week I couldn't get ahold of her cell phone so I left a message telling her I was going out with Allison and that I'd be back around 6:30 to check in. Well, she called my cell phone while I was out and started yelling at me saying never to leave without telling her again. I'm like but I left a message on your phone, I thought it'd be okay. Turns out the message never got to her phone (she has a problem with her phone, she always gets her messages a few days later if ever). So, since I had called and left a message, she just hadn't gotten it, I didn't get into too much trouble.

That happened one time with my Mom. She left a message on the answering machine (using the cell phone) and when we got home it wasn't there, but we both KNOW she left a message...

Wow Miss.B that's a good idea about the whole "unknown friend" issue. Hopefully he knows how much he scared you and will never do it again!

Personally, I think all children should have a chip imbedded in their bottoms before they come home from the hospital - with a zapper! That way, if they miss curfew you can give one pop on the button. For every 15 minutes they're late, add another pop. If they're really late, you'll soon see them hopping up and down the driveway trying to get in before you do it again!
