Miss Leila is 12 Hours Old and Still Pretty!

She is still pretty and still sweet (unlike her neighbor, Shiloh)!

She's sooooo cute! OMG. I love her color, although I'm sure she'll change. And what a sweet face.

Thanks everybody!

Well, we are thinking she will either be black or blue roan. No signs of roaning yet - but if I remember right we didn't see it for several days on Suri or Cletus. With all that white though, I kind of hope she stays black!

So this is a really dumb question. (I know nothing on genetics lol.) But, she doesn't look black right now. How can you tell that she'll be shedding out to be black? (If she isn't roan)

I think she'd look awesome if she stayed black. Blue roans are a favorite of mine too though and she's look cool either way with all the white.

Well from what I understand chestnut or red roan was the only other possibility we could have gotten (the mare is a red carrier) and she is definitely not gonna be red based. But I could be missing something and completely wrong....

Ohhh okay. She doesn't look chestnut or red roan to me lol. So I'm sure you're right. I was just wondering.
I really need to read up on this color genetics stuff haha.
But good luck with her!
