Miniature Horse Contest Winners!

Congratulations to all the winners. This was a very difficult class to place. I will give reason to why the winners took what the did. Miniature horses are a VERY competitve breed, and back yard pets wont make the cut. Note, I am NOT calling anyone's horse here a backyard pet. I am simply saying that most people view minis as these wooly furry short things that live in backyards and aren't real horses, but that is NOT what show horses look like by any means. Minis show a LOT like arabians.

Now for the winners of our categorys

Jumper
horse_crazee

In minis, I judged this as the highest jump you can have. He won this because his jump was the highest.

Color classes are almost always won be an appaloosa because they catch the judges eye the most,
Halter

jubilee

noticed the level topline, straight legs, good hip, nice head. This is an all around nice horse, and he will make a wonderful stallion someday.

liberty

jubilee

Liberty is a class based on how well a horse can move. Here Diego is showing how nicely he can raise his legs, with his head held high and his tail out.
country pleasure

jubilee

Country pleasure is a driving class for the horses that don't neccesarily have the action to be a pleasure horse BUT that DOESN'T mean they aren't good enough. There are some WONDERFULLY moving country pleasure horses out there. It simply means they don't have the animation needed to be a pleasure horse. There is NOTHING wrong with this.
pleasure

This is a very nice moving little pleasure horse. Notice how his legs are out and up, and the way his head is tucked. He has a little more animation then Jubilee's Chantilly, which is why he is considered a pleasure horse.
