Mine and My horses first real ride!

I am trying to train my horse and everyone who had been at the stable before me had said he was a horrible horse and all he does is buck. Well I have been working with him since just before May. Mostly on the ground. I have been on him several times but with someone on the ground leading him or with someone holding the lunge line. So Saturday a lady that boards her horse there asked me if I needed help with my horse. I said yes any help is much appreciated. I lunged him a little then I was waiting for her and decided to try to get on him alone and I did. He actually stood still for me. Then I took him around the arena a few times. He did great no problems. After a few minutes I took him out of the arena and walked him down to her barn. She ended up saddling up her horse and we went for a ride on a short trail and around the arena. Later we traded horses and she rode him at a walk and a trot. We didn't ride all day or anything but it was at least and hour. But that's really good for a green horse. I was just soooo happy at the progress that he has made.
