Military penpals?

I had an odd dream a few nights ago and from that dream I now have a question.

Is there an organization or something similar that *sets up* (for lack of a better term), people who want to kinda be pen pals with people who are serving overseas?

There are programs like that. Also my friend just did the "adopt a soldier" thing where she writes letters, sends boxes, etc.
