I got to ride the prettiest dun overo mare a couple weeks ago. She is a 14.3 1\2 mare. And she has blue eyes. I'll have to post pics of them as soon as I get them.

Her name is Reba, and I want to steal her. Problem is, she's not mine, and her owner doesnt want to sell her. So I steal her.

Not all horse traders are like this though. There is a horse trader that lives probably 20 minutes from my house who has an excellent reputation and is friends with several of my friends. The trader and his wife are both professional barrel racers who put alot of effort into matching people with good horses. The wife also trains, gives lessons, and hosts several pro barrel races each year.

I'm just saying this because not every trader is a bad trader. Isis was purchased through a trader and she's the best tempermented horse I've ever dealt with. AND I bought her for her color! (Buckskin is also my favorite!)

Just be careful! In my experience, buying for looks can backfire. Bought our first mare for looks.. she was a real test of patience since we got her. But we are/were working on her and us..
Next horse I get can be butt-ugly and I won't give a lick as long as he/she is trained and willing!

I have one of those butt ugly ones now that are so incredibly safe. Her name is Vanna.

I have been warned and warned not to buy for color, so I will be careful to not buy JUST for color.
