Mate, wrong section unless you're asking for advice.

if you're looking for advice on how to proceed, then my first suggestion is to get him going. He's putzing along, head in the air, and just going around like that is not only not helping him, but it's actually hindering progress. The halter is fine, for now, but he HAS to get energetic about this

First video...he's really, really testing you. Breaking gait is NOT such a good thing.
The second video just looks like you're both newbies to lungeing. He's just galloping and you're pulling on him...not a fun situation on either end.
Fixing? I'd say use a stud chain on the side of his halter, not underneath. He looks like he's bracing against that line and isn't giving his head to the inside of your circle at all. As JB said, enthuse him. Really get him warmed up and have him to his job...

Sorry if you weren't looking for a critique!

YouTube - lunging merlot
don't let him do that either A horse who is going to poke along like in the first video can easily zoom along like in the 2nd one and do them both out of a passive dominance action.

Passive dominance can be tricky to deal with as you have to find the middle ground. Being lazy, or being zoomy, is their way of saying "make me."

Neither video is conducive to anything - not mental training, not physical training
