Mercy #2

After about 5 weeks, Mercy kinda hit a slump in her weight gain, despite the fact she was eating more than our three paints put together. And despite being dewormed 4 times, she still has somewhat of a potbelly.

Well, it wasn't a pot belly. It was a baby! She started bagging up, then waxing!
He was born almost exactly 7 weeks to the day we got her!
Day one:

Poor pony was so thin!

One week later-the colt's first day outside!

One month!
Mercy and Lakota (Lokie)

As you can see, Mercy's gained a ton of weight. My sister's ride her several times a week and give my little brother's pony rides and she's awesome. She's so gentle with the little ones, but is good with the girl's because she's not "perfect" with them-never does anything stupid but makes them ride. She was a contesting pony at some point because she knows the barrel pattern and several others-which is great because that's what they want to do with her. Once Lokie is weaned they'll take her to a few shows. She's also bombproof and will be a good trail horse.
The colt is now about 9-10 weeks old. He's a little rascal but is doing great.
