Update later...

Tomorrow I'll be driving back home with a couple of friends for fall break; I am so excited.

I'm having the vet come out to recheck Ty's progress on Thursday mid-afternoon. My fingers are crossed that things will go well.

While college has been a wonderful experience, I thoroughly miss my Ty . I had gone out to the barn nearly everyday last school year, even if only for a few minutes, and am now completely unable to see him due to the 5 hour drive between us.

I am leaving for home in about 8 days, and truthfully one of the only reasons for going back is to see Ty. I can't wait to give him a hug, check on how his navicular disease is doing, and maybe even hop on him provided he looks alright on the...

Two days ago one of my really good friends and I went out to the barn. I had gotten permission to ride Starbucks out on the trails that day and called Blue's owner and got permission from her for my friend to ride.

And so we hit the trails.

And then we got lost. A short trail ride turned into a 3 hour ordeal . In order to find our way back I had to have us retrace our steps, which wasn't as easy as one might think. Occasionally I'd think it was one way and...

I rode Blue for a short time last night. She was definitely spitting a bit of fire! After a while of working on what I needed her to work on, I took her out of the ring and cantered her around the field to let some energy out. She seemed to appreciate having a change in scenery as well as the chance to get the kinks out.

Ty's doing well...and moreover he has been a good boy about keeping his bell boots on. Now instead of looking for a white sock, I find myself looking for purple bell...
