It's been awhile since I wrote here. Lots of stuff has happened,most of it bad.
One of my horses was badly hurt,a very deep cut that may or may not heal and may or may not need surgery. It's truly ugly. It is taking me 3 hours a day to look after the wound and hand walk the horse. I am trying to keep a positive attitude about the outcome but everytime I look at that injury it really gets me down.
Of course winter came back about the same time,very cold temperatures...

Haven't updated this for awhile but its snowing again and I can't ride so it's a choice of real work or this

A friend has been rebuilding this old sleigh forever and invited me along for the inaugural ride. Was it only yesterday I was talking about warmth and spring?? HAH! I have about 17 inches of new snow since then.I spent a lot of the day shovelling and plowing snow. I do not use the same muscles for doing snow as I do for riding and therefore I ache everywhere tonight
So no riding today.The horses weren't unhappy about that because they were having a convention in the run in sheds. Eats for everyone!As at every convention some went a little overboard and were snorting...

I've had a day and a half of above freezing weather with SUN,really unusual for this time of year and welcomed with appreciation.
Was able to get all of the horses ridden at least once,which is great because I got a bit behind due to being away for a day. I am trying to get 2 of my mares back in shape after their 2005 foals.Neither of the mares has got much training so we have been taking it nice and easy. Back home tonight after a day in the big city (had more than one gas station) on business. Long day,nice flight there,really bumpy flight back! I should have taken Chester's advice and got a red plane but this one was white and had red racing stripes
.I guess the main thing is it stayed in the air for the proper amount of time and came down safely. Spent most of the day in offices but at lunch I accidently went for a walk and accidently found a tack shop.Does anyone believe that?
