tally i am not sure where you are at the kill acutions you only get to look at them in a the pen theywere placed in unless the owner is there to watch thier horse sale then they may ride it for you and give you the history but for the most part it is a dirty bussiness they go throught ring so fast the unless you know what you are looking for or ahve writen the numbers of the ones you want to try and help down ahead of time you about can't keep up what i do is my firend and i got there and try and write down as amny as we think we can get home in one trip then i spend a few days working with them to se which ones are already trained and jsut got bounced into the kill pen cause they went fairly cheap we have spent and average of 200 a head by the time the get to the farm and the vet looks them over next we sort by stage of training and type be it drive ride western pleasure ropeing training drasage what have you and we give them a simple name so that we have something to call them by then we find the ones that will get some one hurt and we try and figure out what is wrong next if we are unable to figure out why they are trying to kill you when you walk in the pen we have no choice but to send them back through the auction as we would be lyable if we allowed someone to adopt it knowing that its temperment was one of extreem agressive behavior on those horse that fall in that catigory we generaly take 30 days to try and turn them around with kindness and love at no time is a horse forced to come to us it is always on thier time but in a situation where there are so amny out there that need saved that are of a temperment to make someone a great horse if we didn't use this method we would end up in a situation where all we had was mean horses and nothing anyone could adopt and we would not save anymore so this was a call we made to give them all the best chance we can and continue to have room for more at a later date so far out of the 20 head we got on saturday we have 2 that will make great gentle anyone can ride trail horses taht we know for sure as i have ridden them bare back with jsut thier halter and a lead rope
