Today was a total nightmare!! Tai was a complete plank but did manage to settle down later in the day. It was all ridden flat classes which makes it fun when he decides he wants to do his own thing - GRRR! We placed in everything and won the eventer class. Managed a wicked inhand gallop - sounded like thunder LOL. All the other horses were ridden by other people - I just play groom
LOL about Mark changing teams - pretty sure he did but it wasn't to America, more like to MEN if you get my drift ROFL

I've never heard of Gina Miles?? Did she ride for NZ?? She can't have ridden on the same team as Gandalf surely?? I could be soooo wrong here LOL. My poor little brain is in meltdown - been prepping a tonne of horses for a show tomorrow.

Ok! I have always wanted to do eventing. When i got my pony we did very well at lower level events and consistently placed. It was time for me to move up to a bigger and better eventer which is when I got Poppy. We haven't competed in eventing yet as she keeps on injuring herself in some way or another. I hope to get up to pre novice level on her =]

Thanks!! Eventing is my life - can't wait for Tai to stop growing so I can get back out there!!
He is a NZ Sport Horse (Aus. Stock Horse x TB x Stationbred). He is bred specifically to event and his brother Gandalf was at the olympics last year. Tai has some big footsteps to follow

My fingies got too itchy and demanded to be scratched. Worse, someone forgot to feed my syrupy sugar pills to coat things with this morning. I showed chick the thread. She was shaking her head so much I think she will get a headache.

I just sent my first fan letter ever. It was to Tim Lips telling him what an inspiration he has been to me.

I doubt he'll even reply, but it's nice to just get it out there.

Today was a dressage day for Ed and I. Unfortunately, it started drizzling as soon as I got Ari's saddle on Ed. So that her saddle wouldn't get ruined, I decided to get my ruined instead and switch today to be intervals instead of dressage. Of course, once I got the jump saddle...

You heard the woman.

After having an AMAZING go last weekend plus finding out about Ed's brother, I get jitters of excitement for this season.

Odd huh?

Two days in a row now I have had my tooshie handed to me by my chemistry class. Yuck. I talked to my teacher and he said don't worry, I'm doing fine, but I doubt that means I'm doing well by my standards. I have two solid A's in meat and biology, but I can't afford to get lowered than a B- or else I don't make Dean's List. I haven't not made Dean's List yet, do I would be devastated to say the least. I would also have to pay for this past quarter, which wouldn't be fun....

So, I was going to jump Ed today and he is worse than before. At the trot he was really out behind, like his legs were trailing behind him, and he was really active with his tail (he normally is to some extent, but he was more like a hot arab in respect to his tail today). He didn't pin his ears, but he wasn't comfortable and was simply trying to make due. At the canter, it was disastrous. He COULDN'T canter. Basically, it went like this:

Me (with my leg): Ed, canter....

So, the chiropractor came out and Ed has this massive muscle spasm in the lumbar area of his back, poor boy! So he is doing MUCH better now, but may need a retune soon to make sure everything is in order.

Man, he gave us such a fright. I'm glad that it was nothing worse than this and that he WILL be competing in Training level at Twin. Fortunately we decided to do one more T before moving up to P, otherwise this would have been rather scary to say the least. So, he and I...
