Hi! Patti is doing great! I couldn't ask for her to be doing any better!!! Her vision seems to have pretty much returned to normal, and she's back to her ol' self! She does seem to be a little more cantankerous with the other horses now tho.....especially BooBoo. She can't stand for him to be anywhere near her, and let's him know it!

There was a long time where I was not, there was a great deal of loss, and a time when I thought, "this is all life has in store for me" , God had other plans, sometimes we just need to be happy where we are for a while, I think that is the secret of life.

Love and compassion don't need fancy. I think your place sounds like a wee slice of Heaven, there is just something so peaceful about those roomy old cow barns.
You need a golf cart! those things are great for a long drive way, I used to train horses to pony, using the golf cart to get the mail on days I had too much to do.
I am glad you love it, that is all that really matters.

You sound so happy Paula! I am so happy for you!!! Maybe one day, and it better happen soon (LOL), I'll meet Mr. Right......but so far, all I've met is Mr. WRONG'S!!!! LMAO I can't get any pics of my place posted or downloaded with this darn dial up. 4hooves4me2 is bringing a mare and foal here soon, and she is gonna take lots of pics for me and post them here. If she doesn't get here within the next week or two (she's dealing with an injured horse and doesn't want to leave it right now), then I will take pics the old fashioned way, have them developed and send them to her, and she will scan them and post them for me.

My place isn't anything real fancey....in fact it's an old dairy farm.....but it works for what I need it for, and I love the location more than anything. I'm way out in the sticks and loving the peace and quiet here. My driveway is so long it takes almost 30 minutes to walk down to the end of it and back just to check the mail. LOL

Sometimes we just need a break from HgS, and like you, I was not going to let anyone member or otherwise run me off, there are far too many people I do care about . I love married life, I wanted a long time, and kissed a LOT of frogs, but there are good men out there, who are worth the wait, and the warts . One will find you Shelly, and think he is the luckiest man on the planet when he does. We never know where life will lead us. I am glad Peg is back too, I missed my buddies. I want to know all about the new place!
