Well, right before I left for vacation last week, my manager put her 2 weeks notice in. Seeing as how I was doing the majority of her work anyway, I was really hoping that I could take over everything. The recieving and ordering and payroll were really the only things that I didnt do before. Well, the owner and I had a talk right before I left for Oklahoma and I was offered Asst Manager title with a small raise. (Seeing as how I did the job and more, I didnt know wether to be offended, or to feel...

Well, as much as I hate my job at times, there are definatley upsides to working at a feed store. My farrier came out today and did the boys. When I was writing the check, he told me to only write it for $60 instead of the norm $75. I asked him why, was he making his own gas or something?? He gently reminded me that he only lives 3 miles from me and that I do refer a lot of customers to him. What a guy.
Last week, one of the guys who installs fencing came by work to give me a $50 bill....

Well, my sister is dating the son of the couple that I feed for at night. I have fed their ranches for almost 2 years now. Wow, time flies.
I know she is an adult, and I know that I cant control other people...(yes, I really do understand that..LOL) but I am seriously hoping this doesnt turn bad. I have already talked to his mom, who is a truly wonderful person. She actually brought it up to me. We both had the same concerns and are on teh same page as each other. Thank goodness. She wont...

Well, Justin has been saddled 5 times now and is doing great. Stands like a pro, from the first time being saddled. He is still chomping bit, but I'm not gonna worry about that right now.
We are leaving for Oklahoma City on the 30th of this month. I am getting really excited about the trip. I REALLY need a vacation from work!! I've been feeling a bit burned out lately. I think the time off will help my frame of mind alot!! Off to check BBJ's thread on Lucy her pony. I am really praying...

So I get a call from my friend that has Katie Pony. She is choking, yet again. We went through this some months ago, and she backed out on putting her down after she passed the choke, even though she was diagnosed with an esphogeal (sp) tumor. I was so frusterated, and got down right up front with her and told her that we WILL put her down when she chokes again......
I told her to give her a shot of banamine and I am on my way up there to get done what needs to be done. She was supposed...
