    Hey girl
I havent been around HGS much lately, Ive been living on FaceBook and ignoring the world.
I just wanted to check up on you and the little baby. I'm sorry you have had such a hard time after birth. I know what PPD can do to your head- good on you for getting help. I never did... I just researched every second of the day.

Well, just wanted to say hi!

LOL They probably won't know what to think of a resume from a Canadian journeyman pipe welder LOL!!! But he is great with tools and hands on type of work. When he was 8 he took apart an old, broken TV, re built it and had it working LOL!!! He's awesome at that kind of stuff, which is why he's a great welder. Too bad there's hardly any pipe line jobs right now! I hate the oil field. It's so boom and bust.

Thanks for all the info! I will keep it in mind and mention it to Brad.

Really! Hmm I should look into it tonigh when I get home, it definitely could be an option. Who knows, maybe one day we could end up living down there! He did apply to some mines in BC as well, so he's pretty open to anything right now! What exactly would he be doing? Do they need a certain college education?

Ah I wish we lived there too!! Thanks for thinking of us! Yeah Brad usually works away from home in the pipe lines, last fall and winter he was working 2 weeks on and 1 week off and he was only home his week off. So we are used to that kind of lifestyle. I'm thinking Brad would need some kind of visa to work down there?

Sorry to hear about your dad! I know, it's the same here. 3 of Brad's brothers are really struggling too, pay cuts and his one brother is only working part time and the other's hours got decreased too. The problem with Alberta is that our whole economy rides on the oil field, almost every man works for the oil field either directly or indirectly. So when it goes bust, everybody does too! Although I think it's a good thing that people are going back to living simply and within their means....the boom here was insane and so many people are losing their homes, and all their 'toys' (quads, bikes, boats, etc...). Brad and I chose to buy a smaller, cheaper home and to pay for all toys with cash for a reason!! LOL! People call us cheap, but hey Brad's laid off and we are still okay and not risking losing our home.

I would the same as you, as long as your hubby is working I would want to be a stay at home mom too. I know that's our plan when we have a baby. Childcare is ridiculous here too! I know people who pay $200/week for ONE child!!! Eeek!

Oh too funny! That is exactly what the trainer had me doing with her, the 2on2off method with the target. Glad to hear it works! She told me I could practice doing it with her this week using our stairs LOL!!!

It feels WONDERFUL! All this name changing is a pain though LOL!!! Ugh and Brad got laid off this week Again! He was laid off in December too and then found this job, but they laid off 3 guys and of course it was the 3 newest. Ugh. So he's job hunting again. At least we don't have very much debt so his EI will cover the bills at least and we can live (very cheaply LOL) off my pay cheque until he finds something. The economy here is terrible! There are 2 other ladies I work with whose hubbys are laid off and searching too

Some of my notes.

Chapter 1 of Fundamental Techniques in Handling People
"If You Want to Gather Honey, Don't Kick Over the Beehive"

Don't Criticize, Condemn or Complain.

I found the first chapter a bit bland and hard to get through. Dale Carnegie is telling me not to do something that is so second nature. While his words make sense, I have a hard time visualizing myself following them 100% of the time. Human fault.. my fault really,...

I got on Annie bareback on Saturday with the help of my sister in law (ROO)! Oh, it felt so great! I haven't been on the back of a horse for well over 7 months! When Rachel (ROO) first boosted me up there, I was semi terrified to move. I kept thinking "Oh boy, if I fall and hurt myself again, it's all over". Thank God for Rachel though She had the patience to lead me around like a little pony ride. It gave me the confidence that - Yes! I still can ride! And there is nothing to be afraid...

There are some portions of my life that I'm content about, and others that leave me stewing. I'm currently content with my horse and horse life. I feel very relaxed and happy when I make it out to the barn to putz around with Annie. She has some things that need to be worked on, but it doesn't phase me. I wish I had more daylight when I'm at the barn, but it's winter time, so I guess I can't complain too much. It kinda sucks trying to work with a horse in the dark, even with spot lights. Oh well,...

Saturday we moved Annie and Moose to their new barn. Annie loaded like a pro, but she's done it before and nothing really seems to phase her. We had a bit of a problem with Moose, but he's just a baby so I wasn't really to upset about that. I think he was just scared and confused. He's never seen a trailer like the one we have, so it was an entirely new experience. With lots of praise and patience he finally loaded. I think it helped some that Annie was already in the trailer munching on hay without...

Well... it's NaNoWriMo time again, and I'm giving it a go again. NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month and info can be found here @ http://www.nanowrimo.org/ I know I'll do better this year than last year. I am much more inspired this year to write, and I have a great story to boot. I think I will have 50,000 words in no time.. if I can keep myself from being a total spazz about what I've already written. I have this nasty habit of constantly reading back what I wrote and changing things....
