Yes we have got duped on a horse before...it makes me angry, becasue I too tell everything, a persons life depnds on it! Yes these are wonderful people, they are big in to 4H, I watched the guy ride him last year, he showed him at 4H, I think he has trail ridden him too. yeah, they are going to have a hard time trying to sell him because of that. They were not told when they got him, they love him besides his meaness. They want anybody interested in him to know that up front. I know of another that is a half TB half QH, again huge horse 16.1 hands, sorrell gelding, girl used him for jumping, guy got him for showing, decided he was too big becasue he is only 5ft 5, so got a shorter horse, wants to sell for 1000.

I might know of one, it is a huge ugly appy gelding. 16 hands tall. Safe for anyone, ridden on trails, parades, rounded up cattle. I think they want like 800 for him. They might go down to 500 for the right home. He gets along great with mares or alone but is MEAN to other geldings. Little kids have ridden him, adults, double, rides in a hackamore. I can look for pictures if you are interested.

Hmmm. I will think on this one. I would like to sell OURS (3 horse slant, small liv. qtrs) because I would like to get something with a little bit larger living quarters. I will let you know if I hear of anything...notify Ann, too. She sometimes knows of things!

I think I know of one! It is a 3 horse with living quarters goose neck. They live just north of Ladora, he drives drafts, and could get 2 drafts or 4 regular horses in it, but it is made for 3. We looked it, it had a mid tack and a nice older living quarters, I think they were asking 7500. We really needed something that could haul 4 or more. I forget what year it was, it was older, but in pretty nice condition. His name is Bill Feller and you can call him at 1-319-623-7101.

Whether or not you need shoes at Shimek depends on the horse....one of ours has nice hard hooves, and goes barefoot everywhere. The other two have shoes for one reason or another. But, most of the trails are dirt or sod, and the areas where there's rock aren't too bad. If your horse is barefoot, just give him a go at it and see what he tells you.

Oh, the horse is nice looking! Yay! We are going to camp at Shimek this weekend...I would like to try other areas sometimes, such as Matsell's. We will have to work out a meeting there sometime!
