Eeek.. Bel was a little bit of a brat today. Due to the wonderful rain, I haven't been able to ride nor let him out (not to mention I just started school.. what fun.. can you tell my sarcasm? haha). Anyway, I got on him today to flat.. two of my jumps had fallen down from the wind and he thought they were going to jump up and grab him We spent a lot of time just "going forward" and circling around the fallen jumps. We also had to work on our transitions.. they're starting to...

So Bel was EXCELLENT the past two days. Yesterday, he jumped something that he was REALLY spooking from during our flatwork.

There was a jump at the beginning of the triple with a lattice and it had two boxes that were balanced by the standards on an angle. He was REALLY spooking at them. So I gave him a nudge with my spur and some encouragement. Then continued on with our flat work. Finally it came time to jump, and he backed off a ton at the beginning but I kept adding leg and adding...

I haven't had a chance to write in a while.

I rode Bel yesterday and the day before. I couldn't on Sunday because I was at a horse show with Dakota (went very well =) ).

But I did jump him a little bit yesterday. We jumped through the bounces a few times, then did...

So it's raining today I HATE it when it rains.. I can't ride! Hopefully it'll clear up by the end of the day.. if not then I'll just ride tomorrow.. I want to get as much riding in as possible since I'm leaving for a horse show Sunday and Bel's gonna get a day off.

Other than that, everything else is going well. Write Back soon.

Today Bel and I had an AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME day. I didn't give up! Usually when I feel him start to stop, I look for the neck and just "give up". Lately though I've been learning to use my legs and the more he backs off, the more leg I use.

We brought out the water jump and created a triple combination. He was really skittish toward the water, but I didn't give up and he went right over. The triple went even better.

Then we came to a 4ft skinny which he had...
