No baby yet. Will be full term in 2 wks but official due date is Nov 20th. I've just been so busy working overtime and making a feeble attempt to prepare myself for little man. Is that possible? I did find out that a lady I've known for a while started taking in horses for starting. I wrote her and will hopefully have Freedom sent to her. I can't wait to ride her..... AND to not be pregnant. I'm getting very uncomfortable.

Yea I was inspired by apple green the other day. I think I'm going to do the boy's nursery in apple green accents. It goes with the black and white toile baby bedding my daughter used. Since they'll be sharing a room I figured the pink and green would compliment rather than going with traditional blue and all the furniture is black......SO....green. Ha ha ha sorry for the long explaination.

Thank you! She's such a part of this place. It always feels like there's something missing when she's not here.

    How are things going?

I was just wondering if you'd talked to Brandi lately? I miss the pics of her horses and family, and we used to yak back and forth quite a bit.

Thanks for updating on Brandi- I totally spaced it! On my own thread, no less- sheesh!

That's what I get for trying to teach myself to multitask, I guess!

Gum surgery? Ick! That doesn't sound like much fun!

As for Brandi taking a break, I kind of wondered if it was something like that- this place has gotten pretty crazy lately!

I was just concerned, because I was so used to looking for her pic threads on the weekends, and they weren't there! Like me, she usually was on just about every day, as well.

Thanks so much for letting me know, and next time you talk to her, could you please let her know I was thinking of her, and to heal up quick from her surgery?

Another nice ride today. She's responding better and better to neck reigned. Only got confused and stopped a couple of times. She's very sensitive to leg cues. Just a slight touch is all she needs. We even trotted today. I'm so impressed with how she is responding to me now. I guess we both needed to figure each other out. In her previous home, I'm pretty sure she got away with quite a bit with her 11 yr. old rider.

After her episode w/colic and dehydration, I decided to let her be for a while. I've since put her up for sale but have had no bites. Pretty sure I'm asking too much A friend, who is also a trainer, offered to take her for 30 days and then sell her for me and split the money. I'm thinking about this. I'm also considering keeping her. All my other guys are getting on in years and she would be a good replacement after some work.

Since she was so awful to ride in the...

8/30 Hopped in the trailer just fine to go to the vet for her shots. Did fine with shots. Still working on leading and tying.

9/1 Farrier came and trimmed up her feet. Said overall they looked good.

9/5 Went for first ride. Very green! Worked a bit on standing still so I could mount. She's not quite sure what neck reigning is. I think she wants to please just isn't quite sure what to do. She sure can flex though. After about 10 min. she decided she didn't...

Been working on leading manners and "my space" manners. She's picking up very quickly. Bothers me that her attention is always on the other horses. She's always looking for/at them and not at me.

Hooked up the trailer yesterday to practice loading since she's going to the vet on Thurs. Decided to load Dusty first and show her it's not a horse eating monster She hopped right in but DID NOT like all the banging and clanging. I made her stand for about 2 seconds...

Put her in the horse pasture with the others. She desparately wanted to be with Dusty but Scout spent the day making sure he stayed between the two of them. All were tired by evening. I decided to put her with Scout in the big pasture at night while Dusty is in the pen.

She needs some brush up on her ground manners. She's been pet for the past several years. I tied her to a tree in the pen to see how she'd do. Went to go inside for a second, heard a "snap!", turned...
