Well, I got on and rode and had the owner lead her around too while I sat on top and moved around. All went well and she made no threats of any kind and was very calm.

My second day of work with the new mare went well. We did ground work exercises on leading, lunging, lots of yeilding. Then, we took a long (hour or more) walk down the busy road during rushour traffic and worked on leading and such. Overall, she has very little nervousness around traffic (honking, squealing tires, reving engines does not bother her). She gets nervoud from time to time about little things and then gets very pushy and tries to invade your space.
I put my enlgish saddle on her...

I just met my new project horse! A 4 yr old Rocky Mountain Horse that was broke at 2 and has been ignored ever since.

Preliminary Evaluation (Ground work only):
-Does not respect personal space
-Does not yeild at the shoulders well
-Needs high pressure for responses regarding the forehands
-Great hind quarter yeilds
-Lunging needs lots of work! Preference to circle to the left, and moves into you when you start her to the Right.
-Relaxed lunging...
