I hate to see horses worked behind the vertical. That's unnatural. Throws off their balance. True dressage is horsemanship. But, I've never seen a picture of a dressage horse that really looks like it enjoys what it's doing. They're always foaming and dull eyed--at least to me. I feel sorry for them, as I do any horse that appears to be mistreated for the glory of the human--which is really what showing is all about. It's really not for the horse, it's for the human. People may go to enormous lengths...

when i first joined it seemed that HGS was A LOT different. there wasnt all these kiss a** people trying to get [cant say it because we arent supposed to talk about it] to be cool, or seem more informative. dont get me wrong not everyone here is like that but a lot are. i post a thread or a simple post...its totally ignored as if im some black sheep from the lagoon. people brag about how many times they've been argumenitive with others and how great of a fighting post it was. yes...this is a place...

God..the nerve of some people on here. So self concieted. I read a journal about some girl COMPLAINING that no one made a thread for her b-day, like they needed to make some grand announcment. PLEASE! Get over yourself.

I'm so sad to say I am american. We have way to much pride. I was watching this thing about Katrina, did you know Bush didn't know what had happened until 2 DAYS after Katrina hit? I mean, doesn't he watch the news? COME ON.
