I started riding at the ripe old age of 39 & before that I never ever been on a horse, those rental ones don't count. I bought Dubie when he was 5 years old and we had a rough start. I tried to make it work for almost 4 years until I realized as much as I loved that big old horse...I was not confident enough to be his leader and comrade. So I sold him with the idea I would never ride again. I bought me my two mini mama's and I love them to death but 3 months later I realized I really wanted to ride so I went back to lessons. Then by a miracle Amante came into my life. The Beginning.

Sometimes there are things in life that we encounter that are so transient and when compared to a lifetime happen in a blink of an eye. But those feelings that were encountered that day never leave you. They stay with you and touch your heart in a whimsical manner. The memories of that life so long ago stay safe in that little tiny section of our brain that God specifically made for our musings.

One such time was born in an abandoned bowling alley in Hollywood. As a youth I spent many...

I have been a bit down lately. This gimpiness is getting to me. I am so independant and can't deal with not being able to be on the go.

This last weekend I went to step in my trailer and I put my right foot in first then kind of hopped with my left (bad one) and just about killed myself. Pain shot through my ankle. It's still swollen. 3 Weeks and still swollen Then I freaked. I am suppose to start back to lessons the first weekend of July. If I am still swollen how am I suppose...

Dubies test results are suppose to be in today. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he checks out okay.

He seems so back to normal. Monday I took the existing bale I had of the funny hay and traded it for the regular. They are leaving no goodies at the bottom like the last. Poor Dube. You can tell he is so stiff in the hind end. The left is worse than the other side. That's the side that slammed into the pipe corral when he came down. OUCH!

My big day with Robin is off...

I have put ads in 3 online horse classifieds and a local paper. How am I going to sell him? I also emailed to "no kill" rescues in my town to see if they can take him. I feel like such a worm. How I love that old f a r t. Lately he just seems like such a headcase though. I wonder if horses sense their impending doom. Although there is no Mosey doom.

This morning I went down to feed him and he started pawing the steel shelter...bang bang bang...then the neighbors dog started...
