My concern is genuine, I can assure you that. I have scoliosis and have some degree of back pain most hours of the day. The chiropractor has helped me, but I'm not so good at getting there as often as I should.

I had been doing really well until a couple of weeks ago I did some lifting that I should have known better NOT to do, so have been paying the price of that stupid decision! LOL

Hope you get some relief soon. I agree that surgery is only the last resort. I've been asked by an x-ray tech if surgery had ever been mentioned to me. Well, it hasn't and I don't really want to even consider that option.

Hang in there and keep me posted on how you are doing. I'll say a prayer for your speedy healing. Pat

I just saw on phoenixfyre's thread that you had hurt your back and are unable to ride right now. That's great advice to have someone else ride your horse before you get on again the first time. Seeing the horse behaving for someone else will make it much easier for you to get back on again. Do it in an enclosed area and you will be well on your way again! (Some ground work at speed will help to get out any "snork" that may be in there from not being ridden - I know from experience! LOL)

Best of luck to you. Let me know how that first ride again goes - whenever it happens. Don't rush yourself. You'll know when the time is right.

right now I own a beautiful breeding stock paint palamino. she is 6 years old, I have owned her since she was one, but have known her since she was 3 days old. She came from my sisters palamino mare and they kind of look like twins now.

I also have my rescue that I got in Oct. he is a buckskin paint. when I got him he was skin and bones I thought at one point he was going to die. I was told he was one, he was so small it was believable. the vet estmated him to be between 2 and a hald to three. now he is so beautiful and has had a full recovery he don't even look at all the same. He has grown to be 15 hands now. he goes for training in august
