Hiya! Just saw your comment on Tex's pic. No, no trip to VA. We'll be at a show in GA on the weekend the guy is going up to VA for the ride. If I hadn't had a show that day, I'd be in VA with him, probably riding in the endurance ride for him, because he is having heart and urinary issues. Another girl is riding for him, I think.

Let me know how that goes. Did the vet recommend continuing oral joint supplementation as well?

Sorry I was not on this morning to catch your thread.

here's what I would do. Since you've only been feeding the Fastrak for maintenance, I would simply decrease it slowly the week prior to your absence if possible. That way, it won't be such a shock to the system. Then, slowly increase it when you get back. Much safer that way.

I'm running late tonight, so no time to yak, unfortuanately!

    How's the joint supplement working?

Cindy finally text me back about the mare, and I told her to read our conversation for proof I'd been thinking of the mare. She said she already had

She is a daughter of CD Olena. That is some good blood.

Tex is by Peppys Boy 895. Tex's dam (Doc Quixote, Doc Bar bred) was a champion out on the west coast. She's up in Washington now being a mommy.

Usually a 73 will get you a check everytime, but it wasn't my day. I won with a 73 last weekend, but that's how the cookie crumbles. (What does that saying mean, anyway, LOL!!?)

It doesn't take any more than normal to prepare him. He'll have 2 full weeks off, then I'll start bringing him back up about 3 days on the third week then work him everyday on the week of the show.

Cindy (doublebarr) told me about a young horse that is supposed to be ready to show going for a cheap price and I can't get my mind off of her. I'd definitely need to get rid of one or two horses I have now (not Tex) and make sure she's really show ready. Then I say to myself "What business do you have trying to have TWO show horses ?"

It's mighty tempting though. Makes my heart flutter thinking about it. I used to show 2 horses and I loved it.

I did have a show. We marked a 73 (which is good!) but didn't bring home a check.

I let my nerves get hold and we got in a hurry. Two cows paired up for a while, then I had another cow come out of the herd while I was working one. Tex stayed with the original cow, so that was very good.

Disappointed in myself and ready to go get 'em in August. We always take July off for mental and physical and monetary breaks, LMAO!!
