    Thank you! All the creeks are back within their banks. BUT as wet as 'everywhere' is it'll only take one 'good' storm to send them back over their banks. One extreme to the other - years of drought to months of swamp - that's western South Dakota (I guess). The horses are on high ground - it's probably within 1/4 mile of Rapid Creek but probably at least 50' above Rapid Creek but there is only one road in and it's an OLD low little bridge - can get within a 1/2 mile off of other roads so if need be I can hike in to feed/care. Where we live is in more danger IF flooding occurs. Still have the boxes of important 'stuff' at son's house (definately on HIGH ground) - so if the Creek comes up again (or another stock dam breaks) all I have to do is grab the 2 daogs and my bunny and get out - there's nothing in the house that can't be replaced.

    Sorry for rambling on so much - I do tend to do that.
