Not gonna make a thread about this,,but some people get mad when I don't announce my plans HAHa
Going to Littleton,CO for a show tomorrow. Horses will stay between Parker and Elizabeth at Running Creek Ranch (biiiiig cattle ranch that still feeds with the belgians). Travis and I will be in Parker.
Show is Saturday (2'9 jumpers for Dawn,,,3'6 jumpers for Fiona) and Sunday is 3' Hunters for Fiona (first hunter show...thats a REAL show anyway).
So yeah...place...

OK I got one big video today and broke it up into three parts. They're kinda long...the Tacking Up one is WELL worth it...the other two...are hilarious, but more of a "i'm bored' level HAHA

Well after yesterdays ride,,,I have a plan for the big guy (Dawn)
For the longest while he just would not relax into his canter and respond to my cues....one day he 'got it'........and apparently is not planning on reverting back.
Yesterday we did a bunch of flatting and then I had a single 3'3 vertical set in the middle of the long side. We just cantered all around the ring to the vertical (talk about long approach). Each and every time (about 8 or so) he got a perfect...

Well, lil miss Cookie the 14.3 hand QH jumps mind you,,,they were 18" cavaletti and she plowed through til I gunned her over haha but she did actually lift and jump and then try to buck on landing, but I was laughing and got her before she started.
She rode the BEST she's ever rode ever today too. We haven't done anything with her in MONTHS, but I finally got around to trying my dressage saddle on her and it fit, so I can now ride her english...well she must like it. Head down, relaxed,...

I just received a message from the 12 yr old (not telling WHO cuz yeah she's a kid ).....they are over at this guy's place picking up Tulley the TB gelding RIGHT NOW
This is fantastic for her!!!!!
Now she can spend a few days here during the summer for some training
