- I have been involved with horses for over 19 years. I used to compete both English and Western, train and back horses and teach riding lessons. Now I just ride for the sake of riding <mostly Western, mostly trails!>. I own a 15hh, 16 year old, Red Roan Appaloosa/Mustang mare named Jitterbug. She's the air that I breath. I've known her since she was a fetus (used to ride her Mustang mom) and I've owned her "officially" since she was 3. I've owned a few other horses over the years, but Jitter has been my constant. Jitter owns a 3 year old black Grade pony named Raven, just broke this spring and coming along well. Also have a 14.2hh Welsh/Appy mare as a back up trail horse!
