Oooo jeepers!!! What the heck did Nugget do to cause that?! LOL Horses....

Good news though. My vet was right, that nasty abscess blew last night and boy oh boy did that thing BLOW!!! Holy moly! No wonder the poor guy can barely stand up straight! The abscess is about 1.5" wide!!! Looks like someone took a knife to just above his coronet band and ripped the thing open...it's pussing like crazy now! He still can't bare weight on it as of this morning, but I'm hoping that by tonight or tomorrow he should be starting to get more comfortable.

Glad it's an abscess and not a fracture though!!! I called the vet this morning and he's still on strict stall rest though poor guy and starting to get bummed. He's a trooper though! We WILL MAKE IT!!!! hahahaaha

LOL Killian whispered in my ear this morning, "If Jen can get through school AND work AND still take care of Nugs and Duke AND find time for a relationship, then I can deal with a nasty abscess." Really! He did!!! Yeah, it's Friday and I'm acting stupid...but hey, it's Friday! LOL

LOL Well I always found that thinkingn about the semester in terms of weeks makes it go faster. LOL I know it isnt until December, but really, Novemeber is already practically here! saddle hunting is SUPER tough, especially for those TBs! I seriously want someone to invent a saddle built for different builds of TBs. They'd make millions!!!! They're just SO hard to fit. They need a wider saddle, but they need it off of those withers!!! How can you do that?! LOL

The house huntig is pretty scary, but we're tkaing it super super slow just so that we dont get into anything too deep or scary. we just want to make sure we can handle it all. There's so many things to go through and get together. it's so difficult...renting is so much easier LOL

That's SO awesome that you and Jarred are working out and takingthings slow. I'm SO glad that he wants to know how youre feeling. You cant ask for anything better than that. It helps you both stay on the same page, creates less stress and pressure for you too Im sure.

Thanks for the heads up on the saddle thing! They are nice and wide in the front, but towards the back they get a too narrow for my guys. I swear Spin is a warmblood and they just put in his papers that he was JUST a TB hahaha LOL - Plus my bum will no longer fit in a 16. hahaha

I wanna try and get my hands on a dressage saddle for Spin eventually. I'm thinking I'm going to keep my Schleese close contact after much debate and just save for the dressage saddle. i spent waaaaay too long trying to get my schleese, and I love it, so I just can't give it up. I'm going to bring it to the equine affaire and see how much it needs to be adjusted for Spin.

Sickness is all gone! Yay!! Nick got it as I was recovering, but not half as bad - big jerk LOL I went back to work one day and my boss made me leave and not come in. I was out of work for a week. Ugh! I guess it's been going around here, most of the people I've heard that it's been leading to pneumonia!!!! Thankfully I didn't suffer from that!

Nick and I are house hunting!!! We looked at a place last weekend that had 40 acres and a little house and a couple barns that needed fixing. The house was super tiny, but in great shape, just needed decorating and remodeling, but the land was just ridiculously wet We assumed there had to be somethign wrong with it being on the market for almost 2 years and being in our price range, which isn't much LOL We're going to see a place this weekend that has 10 acres already fenced into super nice pastures and a 6 stall barn and a big farmhouse. It's a preforeclosure, so we can get it for super cheap, if it's worth it, and just remodel. It's a bit of a distance from work, but I'm really excited about this one!

This whole thing is super exciting and scary as ****! We just decided to go for it and try. Mostly because I really want to start expanding my training and lessons, but also just getting the boys in my backyard. I LOVE the place we are now, but it's not like having them right there so I can take care of them anytime and see them anytime. Plus, we got a LOT of rain last night and Spin's stall was flooded. I was running around in the pouring rain trying to move things to get him into a dry stall...ugh! Needless to say I was a drowned rat. hahahaa Of course he was all cozy cause he had his sheet on and had tons fo hay. He was just staring at me running aorund in the rain - i think he was laughing at me! hahahaha

How's school going? Only a couple more weeks to go!!! I really don't know how you do it!

I always found that couting how many weeks are left rather than months it made it seem like it was so much shorter for some reason LOL Good luck in everything! You're a trooper! IDK if I could do that. I worked 30hrs a week and went to school full time and I was pooped! I can't imagine your schedule! You deserve a vacation once it's all done that's for sure!!!!

I too have been mostly lurking on here. LOL It's been busy busy! The boys are doing great! We've managed to squeeze a few really nice fall rides in here and there when time allows. Everybody is happy and healthy, that's all I can ask for
