I finally told Casey about it. It wasn't even set in stone until last night and I wasn't sure how he would react. First thing he asked was if they were nude, lmao.. told him of course not! Didnt tell him a bit risque but those ones will be his Bday present hehe - Sweet wood profile! Awesome pic too

A friend of mine, whom I respect very much, is giving me a ridiculously hard time about my feeding program right now. I think I've been pretty good about it so far, haven't said a word against him, just deflected and when he wouldn't give up, showed him the contents of the feed freezer... sigh. Then he called me at work today to ask me if I'd taken his advice yet.
I'm just not comfortable packing my 1.5 year old filly full of sugar and starch and oats and... sigh. She's been on a ration...

I am so tired. It seems like I never have a second to breathe.
I received Allure's nameplate in the mail a few days ago and have been trying to get it attached to her halter... between the leather punch looking for some sick time, my being completely inept and lacking that perfect combination of screwdriver and threatening expression... let's just say the backings of the screws have made it in okay.
I sent off her DNA... two weeks ago? And just received Page's DNA kit...

I'm having a very down day and compounding the problem by feeling sorry for myself. But, what the hay... since this is my journal I'll write down the first thing that comes into my head, and that's an exchange from an episode of Reba between Reba and Brock.

Chris and I measured Allie today for the first time in a couple of months (I think)... and she's a hair over 12hh. Eek! She was like 11.1hh last time, almost 11.2hh. The stick hit a notch over the 12hh mark. And she's still eight days away from being eight months old. Maybe she'll hit 15hh after all!
She's just doing SO well. So bright. I get frustrated sometimes (in a good way) because I go out to work with her and have to stand and think about what to do with her... the new stuff...

Went down to the barn this afternoon to ride after inviting my mom along... she said she's do, so I headed that way and herded the herd to the barn. On the way back to drive out of the pasture she and my little brother were in the yard. He invited himself and so he and I went down and got the three horses ready (was annoyed at the time because he's so frustrating around the horses, and I didn't want to deal with it today)...
