Oh yikes, haha! That does sound pretty rough . And she definitely sounded way more nervous than you looked!
I will remember to smile (or try at least!!)

Haha the first one wasn't so bad, and the second wasn't either- until the end which was a train wreck!! Buddy does totally jump like a deer when he gets a funny spot- that is hilarious! You stayed with him so well- amazing!
I had a great ride with Suzie today and she is going to give me a couple more lessons before the show- so I think we will do ok! At least my horse doesn't jump like a deer- otherwise I would never be able to stay on!! Hahaha.
I'm glad I'm not the only one nervous about distances- Suzie is having me focus a lot more on the quality of my canter and letting him take me to the fences instead of me trying to ride a specific distance- he usually picks them pretty well and even when he doesn't he can jump me out of a sticky spot with no problem if I have him balanced and forward.

I am still crazy nervous, but thinking positive!! Thanks for sharing those vids- I cracked up the whole time at your mom talking in the background

Yes, show me the video . And it is hard for me to pinpoint exactly what I am afraid of, but it is more of an in-the-moment thing right before the jumps, worrying that we won't get the right distance and he will stop or something else will go wrong .

Ok... so today at work it was just me and my supervisor, Jen. Between us we have to feed, clean, water etc.

Well, as it were the water toughs in the stallion pastures were all low, so we needed to fill them. To do that you have to go down to the equine center and get the tractor and giant water tank.

We get down there and first order of business is to fill the tank from the fire hydrant, so we stick the hose in it and after about 5 minutes we finally figure out which way...

So... I love my job! Like a lot It's just so awesome!!

My favorite part of the day is early in the morning when we get to take all the stallions out. I love getting to interact with them, I'm starting to learn their personalities and what they like and don't like and how to handle each one. This is what I've learned about each so far:

First we have Capote's Promise, he's a retired racehorse, thoroughbred obviously, and a Seattle Slew grandson. He's tall, dark and handsome....

Holy **** when was the last time I posted in here?

Uhhhh yeah... like april

SO much has happened this summer! Of course, got me a wonderful boyfriend, and we have had much adventures this summer! Went on a motorcycle trip to Moab, UT and then to the Grand Canyon and back. 1550 miles on the bike... I couldn't feel my butt for a week! But it was a BLAST!

Other adventures of the summer included climbing a 14er, my second time climbing to above 14,000ft,...

I'm considering changing my major... for good. Originally I had intended to go for Equine Sciences... but then decided against it for a few reasons, one because you can't really trully get a good job from that without going onto vet school, and the community college I'm going to only offers a vet tech program. I decided to try Forestry, Wildlife, and Natural Resources out... I'm finishing up a forestry class. It's been fun... but, dunno if this is really truly for me. I mean, I could do it if I...
