Yep I totally agree that trot is going to be what separates the pros from the ammy's. Definitely will need some lessons on that because I always bend Rosewood first when asking for a transition, but then again D is only 5 meters off the rail anywho...can keep that bend and ask for the transition a fuzz early and then have a nice trot by G to get the halt. My arena at home is a fuzz smaller than a small dressage arena so it seem ungodly tight. I should get over to my friends place and try it in their arena. Maybe I'm make way too big a deal out of it. LOL

I didn't think the centerline or change in direction from B to E or E to B isn't that bad. Actually the canter transitions on a half circle or in bending my horse like on a circle is much easier than trying to **** in a free to med walk, to working trot, to canter all on the small side of the arena. JMO as show nerves get the best of me and that's a lot to prepare and do when nervous. LOL The walk down the center line and trot at D and halt at G is just odd. Doesn't seem natural and really have to "get" the trot you want right from the get go...no room to adjust it.

So i tried ridding the Novice tests last night and for the most part pretty straight forward but you were right that walk down the center line then D working trot G halt salute is a little odd. Will definietly change the scores for those events that use that test.

Hey! I was just about to message you. So Ed will be heading up around 7:30 tomorrow and I have class till 12:00. The drive is about 3.5 hours, so I will probably be at Woodside around 4:30p, ride Ed, then probably call you and figure out what to do then. Can you PM me your number? I don't see to have it for some reason.

Thank you again so much for allowing Ari and I to crash at your place. Very much appreciated.

Awesome!! Has Suzie asked you yet? Because I think she will be looking for a place to sleep as well... I'll have to figure with my schedule if I can come Friday-Sun or just Sat/Sun (I may be able to get out of work on Sat, but not sure).
And yes, I'm very excited! Plus the place we are leaving is no dream barn, that's for sure

I've had Bodie, my first horse, since September 2007. He's boarded at a BEAUTIFUL barn near me and I train under an incredible trainer for whom I have an amazing amount of respect. Bodie and I event, and absolutely LOVE to go cross country.

July 2009: Bodue pulled up with a high suspensory injury. He needs at least one year of rehab, and then will be retired to pasture. I'll miss riding you, Bo =(
