My name is Alaina and I basically live for horses! I play clarinet for concert band and am in colorguard for marching band.

My horse's name is QT and her show name is Quick Timing. She is 14.2hh tall. It may seem a little short but it suits me very well and we are currently jumping about 2-3 feet. I am a junior in high school, its my 3rd yr in 4-h and was 2nd yr on the equestrian team. I ride mostly english but had to do some saddleseat for the equestrian team. I realized how hard saddleseat is so great job to all who do it! My team ended up getting 1st at districts, we placed 2nd at regionals and overall were 7th at state in the B division! It was a really exciting season of competing and I hope to make it to states again next year. My goals for 2010 are: flying lead changes, jump a whole cross-country course and improve on turns for showmanship.

Summer is almost over...but the eq. team is on!!!

So I took drivers ed and now have my permit! yippee! Summer is like basically over b/c school starts in a week and its been cold and rainy. Oh well, at least I have some good news...

We almost didn't have an equestrian team this year but my mom and I decided to put up some flyers for it and put an ad in the paper. So long story short...my coach from last year and her 2 girls decided that they didn't want to do the equestrian team, and did circuit shows instead, without telling us!!!

So the snow has melted and my horse is shedding! I went to groom her today and her fuzz was flying and sticking everywhere. I still haven't taken drivers ed but I'm going with a friend soon. I just saw the movie mall cop and it was pretty funny. Next weekend I'm seeing confessions of a shopaholic with my BFF! Gotta go to a 4-h meeting. see ya later!

O my gosh! mid semester exams are finally over!!! YAY! that took so much stress off my back. I can finally concentrate on my horse more now than school. I haven't been able to ride lately in this crappy michigan weather, only at lessons and the snow hasn't melted for like 2 weeks! snow, snow go away come again another day...grr.....I hate winter! so im totally pumped for drivers ed which im gonna start soon! YAY again! lol well I'll be posting again soon.
