You answered my question. I hope she's in foal to the silver bay stallion since he is your choice. I'm sure the baby will be lovely either way.

I think maybe I can restrain myself from "borrowing" your foal. Maybe some day when I'm rich (haha) I'll buy my own Icelandic horse/foal.

So in the stallion that she might have been fence bred to the same as she maybe was pasture (?) bred to?

He's gorgeous, not that I know a whole lot about Icelandics. If the baby is ever gone, you'll know where to find it.

Your mare might be farther along than my mare. None of those changes yet. Her udder is getting bigger, though. Her due date is June 4th, so not too much longer. Do you know the due date for your mare?

How is your pregnant mare doing? She and my mare are about at the same place in their pregnancy, and I'm getting anxious to see the babies!

Thanks, I was lucky to be sitting there with my camera when they were grazing, and got that pic....the bay is my 23 year old tb mare, the other two belong to a friend, she kept them at my home last summer....

No the horse in forground is a dark bay, she is a bit sunbleached, and the sun was setting behind me, giving them all a funny color...the middle horse is a liver chestnut, and the last one is a sorrel, or very light chestnut...but they lined up like that, and I happened to be sitting on my deck, and had my camera with me...could not miss that shot...

I just don't like having to walk through 6 inch deep mud to get into my barn, nore do my horses, the mini is almost knee deep when it thaws out, till it drys up, or refreezes....

It's suppose to be in the low 60's on Sunday, so the snow will be melting fast, and the ground will turn to mud....I hate mud!

I can imagine, in Iceland! It's got to be cold there, we just got our coldest weather this last three days, with that snow storm that blew through....I got snow drifts that are 2 ft. deep! The wind was blowing 40 miles per hour, and the wind chill was below freezing out, as it is tonight too...I hope your beautiful mare has a nice healthy foal!

I was studying to be a goldsmith but with the economicfall of Iceland I had to drop out.
I took it hard but I saw that with a good job, witch I was lucky to get, I could focus more on horses and Im O.K. with what is done.
As things are today I cant see that being a goldsmith is any good unless I move out of the country, so as soon as I can I will return to school with biology in mind and my intrest points to marine biology.

Proper education is something that can never be taken away.
