Its a smart person that 'quits' by avoiding starting in the first place. I also like alcohol, speed (in various forms) food (in ALL forms) and shopping.

And taking long walks on the river-bed and candlelit dinners... ROFL

If they have taken off or lightened the sedation its more than likely not at 100%(which is kinda good news). And it won't feel like that... but it WILL still hurt. Ventilators are nothing to **** around with. Its the PRIMARY reason I quit smoking a couple of years ago. When I saw my mom on it, I just knew I couldn't intentionally BEG for that sort of future. And I was a more than 12 year smoker at that point and fine with it. LOL

Anyway, I hope that it all works out. What a **** shame, though.

Gah. Ventilator ****. Its good they keep her sedated. The vent packs quite a punch. When my ma was on it, they said (at 100%) its like being smacked in the chest with a ball bat and having the wind knocked out of you each breath.

Will pray for her. Poor thing. Sounds like she's had her share of trials. How come good people can't catch a **** break???
