You're right, I do like just getting out and having fun and riding... and since my gelding's so... well, relaxed and laid back, it's very easy to forget that he's still very young... he acts like an old pasture nag been-there-done-that trail horse more than anything else... and he's already a better horse than my fifteen year old mare (as much as I hate to admit that) when it comes to certain things.

I'm always looking for new friends.

Yes, I do my own trimming after having some terrible experiences with the hoof care providers in this area. I just decided that I couldn't do any worse than they were doing (drawing blood!) and probably (well hopefully) a lot better. It's been a learning experience and a challenge for sure, but one that I enjoy. And, here "hopefully" again, my horses are better for it.

Oh..I suppose I could tell you a little about my partners!

I live in Minnesota and own 2 horses. Cocoa is who I'm studying Level 3 with and I bought her four years ago. She is a LBE 16 year old Morab mare. The last few years she has been having back troubles so through chiropractic, equine massage, and holistic care I've been trying to get her back up to the top of her game....so we've had a mild pit stop a long the way but always progressing in some way. Cocoa is my pride and joy!

Then I bought a 2 year old filly in June named Dixie. I've been bringing Dixie through the Levels and love that all she knows is the Parelli way! She was pretty much just halter broken when I bought her. So getting to be the first to sit on her bareback and do everything on the ground first is ah-mazing! She learns so quick and is already doing Level 3 tasks up to Cocoa's standards! I think knowing the stuff really helps..cause they are so right...it is much easier the second time through!

Well..that's about it...I'm 16 years old...been doing Parelli for 3 years. LOVE it! Yep!
