as far as vets & shoers there is a pecking order as far as how to talk to them you have to be slick on how to say things to them to stur them curiously ! let them -- yes help them know Y thay got into their field of * CHOICE * remember this is a continuous study and a mission of wellbeing and helth, get them to do some homework ( in a careing and loveing way ) if thay dont seam to receptive your hunt must continue, I will try to direct U to the proper means ( skip some red tape ).... his coat from lack of sheding is do to, in part duress - remember one thing at a time think, itll come to U do the task now & evryone will be a little more wiser for it (but not cocky) that will kill your progress. let me know .Clinch

Lol yeah sometimes I don't think my vet or my ferrier really know what's going on... my ferrier thought that the laminitis was because my horse is old (she's only 18, she shouldn't be going lame already) and he was completely dumbstruck when after I put woodshavings in her stall and made her stand in it for a month that the laminitis started to go away. He was standing there scratching his head, saying the laminitis should have killed her.

And when I pointed out the symptoms of Cushing's Disease to my vet, I said she hadn't shed her winter coat at ALL, it was 110 out for a month and nothing had come off, she just kinda shook her head and dismissed it. Every time I bring it up to her she goes "Nooo no no no she doesn't have Cushing's." She hasn't even examined her, how does she know.

I... don't think they know what they're talking about. It's nice to get help from people who do know what they're talking about.

Her sole and her hoof wall are level, yeah, that's always been a problem, no one can seem to get the sole to dome. We've had problems with previous ferriers because they just wanna get the job done fast, and sometimes she was walking on her soles because the hoof wall had been trimmed away but the sole hadn't. I have a ferrier knife, should I try to keep up with her sole myself?
