- My father said I should have been born long ago when there was only horses around (hehehe) I have always been drawn to horses (actually any animal)right now I only have an 8 month old colt and learning as he learns, lots of chickens,4 dogs and 40 something cats (yeah amazing huh?) bad habit of mine is taking in strays and pets people decide that would look good being dumped on my land (yes all of them are all unwanted pets except for 2 dogs and the chickens)

well today I got the kids to clean out his living area
(had fun watching) after though Cochise would not take to the lead rope,would not come to me at all really even when I put some sweat feed into his bucket (usually he follows me when I do this) maybe he is just having a bad day (like we have PMS maybe)
(had fun watching) after though Cochise would not take to the lead rope,would not come to me at all really even when I put some sweat feed into his bucket (usually he follows me when I do this) maybe he is just having a bad day (like we have PMS maybe) Well I noticed that he ate the oats sometime last night ..just one problem... his poop was getting runny(hoping it gets better) I have noticed that when the man we are letting keep his horses in our paster is around he walks his gelding close to the holding pen where Cochise is staying and is telling his gelding to tell or let Cochise know who the man of the paster is !!
What he does know is if I get ticked he will feel it (man not horse) cause I will show him who the Lady of the paster...

Gave him his first worming today and added some oats to his feed and he did not like the oats...
Today we are going to let him know that when we touch him we are not hurting him...he still did not like our touching him today (his nerves jumped when we touched him and if we went to far down toward his legs he cocked his ears and backed up or if we went to far down his neck toward his back he told us no! no! no! OK will take some time too I guess
