- I have been a part of a local Arabian horse club since it began nineteen years ago. During those years I have had the opportunity to serve as president, vice president, board member, show committee chairman and show manager as well as DJ for the music that we play at our shows. I will be serving as treasurer for the club in 2008.
Our club is often active in community projects and has helped to raise money for those in need due to illness or personal tragedy. We have also sponsored a child, (Kenny) with special needs who a group of us taught to ride. He went on to compete in Special Olympics, winning several medals in regional competition. Having the opportunity to work with Kenny is one of my fondest memories.
