Hi again,
I had pictures in your thread
http://www.horsegroomingsupplies.com...cs-209648.html. The fitter told me to tighten the cable some more and just cut off the excess strap. Wellllll, if I tighten them any more, I won't be able to get them on (this pic is of the cable loose, but tightening it doesn't make that much difference in the length of strap I have left over). I have the cable on the mid-way setting now. With this much left over strap, I'm not getting much velcro contact space for the toe strap, which means the boot wouldn't have as much "staying power" as one where the strap has the full length in contact. If that makes sense.
Have you really worked your horse in these boots to see if there is any twisting going on? My horse moves well in them, and doesn't seem to show discomfort when they start to twist, but I'm sure if I kept working him past this point something would be rubbing. I'll have to experiment further. This humidity and heat really don't make for fun times with the horses. Maybe I'm just getting too old and wore out! LOL
I think if there is more length of strap in contact on the toe, that this twisting wouldn't happen. Just my luck to have a foot in the in between size.
