Hello! I live in Alabama and just read your blog on horse forums and went to your my space. I just had to write. I find you and I have alot in common! Im married with 3 boys, 1 is graduating from college next year and I have 2 other boys 11 and 9. I am 45 years old and Living my dream of having a horse for the first time. I got "Montana" my 5year old mare for Christmas last year. And loving every minute of it! I Love the picture! anyway...its nice to meet new people online. Jodie

Hi,
I just requested to be added to your friend's list. I know what it's like to lose your confindence. I bought a TB gelding that turned out to be way more horse than I could handle and he really rocked my confindence as a rider. But know I am working with a really good trainer and she is helping me to gain my confindence back. So I hope all goes well with you and everything works out. And don't give up on your mare just yet, she's only 4 and I am sure that she will get better, just hang in there.

- I love to ride and up until a year ago in Oct was a pretty confident rider. I made the mistake of not lunging Amiga before I got on and she bucked and I lost my rein (darn split-reins anyway) and a stirrup and couldn't stay on. I torn some tendons and cartilage in my knee and it took a long time to heal. Now I'm not so confident and am working on ways to build that up again, because I really, really want to train her for dressage. I'm concerned though because she has stumbled twice before and laid herself out, breaking my husband's wrist once. I want her to be a good riding horse because she was my first baby that I raised from a weanling and I so badly want her to be productive and right now as a 4 year old she seems best suited for a

Well, as I can see, this journaling thing is something I'm not very good at I'm going to keep trying though.
Lets see....things are good at home right now. Am enjoying K being her old self again. I can't believe it's been a year since this all started but I'm hoping that this year will be better She IS getting more responsible and she is maturing so maybe..... Her and her horse are so great!!! I am just amazed when I watch them together and I just feel so humbled to have such...

I just hate this numb feeling because my heart hurts so bad. Why won't she come to her senses, why is she so selfish? Well, it's been a month since I did the last entry. I'm going to try again
I rode Amiga saddled for the first time this year!! She did great! The winter did her brain good She had quite a few rides on her last year, but I have learned more since then, so I think this year's training will go really well for both of us. Plus, Kalyn learned so much good stuff when she was training with Ed last year and she is such a good teacher, that Migs and I can both benefit from her knowledge....

I can't believe I started this, had a whole bunch written out and I hit a stray button and it all disappeared! Sometimes I HATE computers!! Hopefully I can remember what I wrote.
