The BEST $1000 I ever spent! He was amazing at everything I did with him. He was a 4th level dressage stallion up until his 15yo year when they gelded him because he was becoming a nasty stud (from mis-handling, I'm sure) and we bought him at 19 and had him for 8 WONDERFUL years :.) *sniff sniff* Here's the thread about his injury that ultimately took his life: http://www.horsegroomingsupplies.com...ve-289889.html The very first post and the title were edited a week after the thread was created.

Aw, thank you. It's a picture of my beautiful Breezy. He passed away in August and I just found that picture of him. I love it!

Guess you thought I forgot, huh?

Measured the girths. I have one 28" and two 32". No 30"s though If you think either will work, let me know.

Oh gosh, I'd be nervous with a deer stand so close to the horses. I just don't trust those hunters. They can get so trigger happy and shoot without thinking. Hope you can come up with some way of keeping that "underwear" on. Tell Tariq (it's late - did I spell that right? LOL) to leave it on if he knows what's best for him or he'll end up as horse jerky or sausage yet. HA

Just stopping by to say howdy and wondering if that orange vest is still in one piece or did all that "snapping" of his underwear rip it to shreds? HA Our firearms deer season starts this weekend. Maybe I should get creative and whip up some underwear too! LOL

Good thing, too! She'd rip a blanket to shreds in these pine trees, lol!

Gypsy's sure a furball, isn't she? She gets that way every year. Nice, too, because I don't have to blanket her!

That's kind of what I've run into lately.

I've also been gone a lot more, and until I got used to the laptop, it was hard to navigate the pages. where I was at, there was no room to use the mouse, so I had to use the touch pad. Now, I've gotten a lot better with it, lol!

Today some good friends came over so that we could all go to Fort Wayne. There's a fabric/design store there that was having a warehouse sale-- all warehouse fabric $5 a bolt-- so the moms wanted to go there, and we girls wanted to go to the mall. We all ended up going to the fabric store for a little while. I got some orange and darker orange striped fabric to make things for Tariq (his color is going to be dark/burnt orange) and some fawn-colored suede-type fabric that I will probably make a bareback...

I'm done making dill pickles for the year, but still need to do cinnamon pickles, and will probably do a canner of sweet pickles as well if there are enough little cucumbers out there. The dills turned out really well. This year I just used Mrs. Wages pickling mix instead of a recipe. I don't really eat dill pickles much, as I don't particularly care for them, so a quick and easy mix sounded good to me rather than throwing together a recipe. The cinnamon pickles will be enough work to make up...

I made up a batch of granola this evening. I'll get to have my yogurt and granola for breakfast again, because I made yogurt a couple of days ago. I'm a very happy girl when I get to eat yogurt and granola every morning!

In fact, I decided to post the recipe I use for granola, since it's one of my very favoritest recipes!

10 cups rolled oats
1 cup wheat germ
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup nuts
1/2 cup butter, melted

Today Ariel and I put stall mats down in the foaling stall. Yesterday we hauled them out of the barn (four of them were in the aisle, and two were in Banner's old stall) and scrubbed them down with soap and water. Then later I hauled them off the grass into the barn all by myself. Using a vice grip helps, but those things weigh a ton no matter what!

They look nice in the stall. Not a perfect fit, but we've never experienced that, so maybe we don't know what we're missing. There's still...

Well, it turns out that we're not doing young folks this week, but we might next, or pretty soon, anyway. Dad is checking to see if we could rent the sports center there on campus, which would be really cool. We have no idea if they'd rent it out, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Lol, you've gotta love little private universities, though-- of course we never would have dreamed about renting Hilton Coliseum when Dad taught at IA State!!!

Young folks is tonight, though, and we're playing...
