It was great to see you yesterday. I hope you did as well as you expected and had fun. Thanks for telling me about it! I was thrilled with some of my results, Mo taking Reserve champion in halter mares (complete surprise) and Niki taking Grand in Showmanship. Plus I wasn't expecting her to do very well in the horsemanship classes and had thought I might scratch them so it was great to have her win the one and place 3rd in the overall W/T. We should have won the reining too but I made the mistake and did 3 spins on both sides instead of 2.
Completely my fault.
Overall, I was very happy with our results and I hope you were with yours.
Look forward to seeing you at the SAAHA at J-Six on September 28th! -

- We can never make a horse do something it does not want to. We can encourage them to do something they are afraid of, and we can ask them to do something they don't like. But you will never be able to force them to do something they don't want too.

Okay I guess this is going to be like a mini rant for me.. I just need to post this somewhere. Its not going after anyone in particular. There are just a lot of things I get sick of reading and think "How can you keep your eyes closed so tightly that you don't see both sides..".. so yeah... here it is
For everyones sakes open your eyes. A horse going to auction does not mean a 1-way ticket to the meat house. Any horse who is nice looking and rides well, will sell for too...
