In the first couple years with Sierra, things were rocky. We were both extremely green and it didn't work out for the best, atleast for a while. Eventually we worked through it and built a relationship but after making a whole group of new friends, I began to distance myself from horses more and more, unintentionally. My priorities were out of whack and in the last two years I owned her I saw our relationship go downhill until I reached the point where I wasn't horse crazy anymore. I sold Sierra to move to NC and after experiencing a couple months horseless and friendless, I decided to start working at a horse farm down the road. If I had ever lost my spark, working at this farm ignited it right back up + I'm horse crazy again!

Hey y'all. Not much is happening since the last entry. I feel like my rides with Sierra aren't improving, and she is getting so bad with catching lately, that I feel she really doesn't enjoy riding AT ALL. It's quite depressing, but I'm trying real hard to help her like it.

Yesterday we did make some progress, though. She was being quite stubborn, not trotting right away and not cantering for a long time. So I suddenly got in a more dominant mood, and you won't believe how that helped....

Wow, I haven't written since Thanksgiving?
Ok, ok, so... updates. Things with Sierra have been going mostly good. We didn't get to ride much over the course of December, but we're getting back into the swing of things. Our few rides have been going extremely well. Today was the first not-so-okay ride in a while, and ofcourse afterwards Sierra nuzzled me like, "It's ok, Mom... don't be too disappointed in me. I was only messing with you," lol... so yeah.

I know,...

Hey everybody! Thanksgiving pretty much ended for me now... I'm stuffed and back at my mom's house, here to tell you my pretty amazing time with Sierra! Here's the link to the thread where -to put it short- I lunged Sierra over a tiny jump and she not only flew with feet to spare, but enjoyed every minute of it! [Link]

Besides that, my turkey day was fantastic! I had homeade mashed potatoes, turkey, corn...

Sierra's on vacation, woo!
I left my dad's house today and will be with my mom all week, then all next week, and probably a little bit after that. My dad's going to PA to help his friend sell Xmas trees, so since I won't be at his house much and Sierra DOES need a break, I'm giving her one.
S'all for now.

Sooo today is Saturday and I rode Sierra, but things went just too crazy. Here's the thread on it.

Anywayz, before I rode I did some work out in the pasture: raking leaves, mucking the stall... ya know... and I let Sierra out into the ring to eat that grass out there. But yeah, that's all for now.
